Real Solution is a 2009 colt sired by Kitten’s Joy and Reachfortheheavens. Both horses out of Kitten’s Joy are bred and owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey. Admiral Kitten who is also owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey took the Secretariat Stakes at Arlington on the same day.
Two Grade 1 wins on the same day are rare but not impossible in the unpredictable game of horse racing. Brown who was elated by the victories said; "Like I said, so much planning goes into these races. They're on a calendar, and you work backwards a long way out, often, and with horses, the best-laid plans rarely work out. But this time, we pointed to those two races and hit them both. The Apache gave Real Solution a run of his life time with a neck to neck competition, finishing a head ahead Real Solution, but was demoted by Arlington officials for hitting into Real Solution repeatedly.
