Dubai World Cup and Dubai World Cup Carnival 2014

The 2014 Dubai World Cup Carnival will take place at Meydan Racecourse in the United Arab Emirates over the months of January and February. It kicked off on Thursday, January 9th and features eleven prestigious horse races. These include Super Saturday on March 8th, 2014 and the richest race in the world, the USD 10,000,000 Dubai World Cup on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 bringing the Dubai World Cup Carnival for 2014 to a close. 2014 will be the 19th running of the Dubai World Cup.

March 29th, 2014 will be actually be the world’s richest day in the entire sport of horse racing with total prize money of USD 27.5 million. Horse races on this day include the USD 5,000,000 Dubai Sheema Classic, the USD 5,000,000 Dubai Duty Free and of course, the USD 10,000,000 Dubai World Cup.

Let’s take a look at some past records and winners starting with the Dubai Sheema Classic. In 2011, Rewilding finished the 2,410 meter horse race at Meydan Racecourse in a record setting time of 2:29.01. Frankie Dettori, known for his famous dismount from horses, jockeyed the winning horses in 1998, 2003 and 2011 setting the record of the most wins by a jockey of three. In 1998 and 2003, Saeed bin Suroor trained the winning horses setting a record of just two wins as the most wins by a trainer.Godolphin Racing owned the winning horses three times setting the record, and it happened in 1998, 2003 and 2011. Of course, Rewilding set the current speed record when he won the horse race in 2011. In 2013, the Dubai Sheema Classic was won by St Nicholas Abbey, and in 2012, Cirrus des Aigles won it. What will happen in the 2014 Dubai Sheema Classic?

Now, let’s look at some past records and winners of the Dubai Duty Free. Cityscape won the 1,800 meter race at Meydan Racecourse in 2012 with a record setting time of 1:48.65. In 1996 and 1998, Gary Stevens, who was previously retired but made a comeback, was aboard the winning horses setting a record of the most wins by a jockey of only two. Saeed bin Suroor trained a record five winning horses, and he did it is 1998, 1998, 1999, 2000 and just recently, 2013. Not as impressive but still record setting, Godolphin Racing owned the winning horses three times, and it happened in 1997, 1998 and 2013. In 2013, the Dubai Duty Free was won by Sajjhaa, and Cityscape won it in 2012; it was the year he set the record.

Last but certainly not least, let’s take a look at some past records and winners of the Dubai World Cup. In 2012, Monterosso finished this horse race at Meydan Racecourse with a record setting time of 2:02.67. Until now, the Dubai World Cup has never been one more than once by a horse; thus, this record is still awaiting a name. Will 2014 bring the name for this record? Saeed bin Suroor trained a record five winning horses in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2006. Godolphin Racing also owned the winning horses a record setting five times. They owned the winning horses in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2012. In 1996, 1997, 2001 and 2002, Jerry Bailey jockeyed the winning horses giving him a record four wins.Animal Kingdom, foal, trained and owned in the United States, won it in 2013. Since his win, he has retired so there is no hope for him setting a record in 2014. Of course, 2012 was won by Monterosso who was foaled in Great Britain but owned and trained in the United Arab Emirates, and who set the record for the fastest win. Victoire Pisa won this horse race in 2011, and he was foaled, trained and owned in Japan; this is also where he is retired and standing stud. The record for the most wins by a horse may not happen in 2014.

The 2014 Dubai World Cup Carnival is sure to include some horse races where we just might be at the edge of our seats with our hearts pounding in anticipation of the winner. If money is more of a draw to you, the richest races with the big money purses are sure to attract you! There is something for everyone it looks like.

What Will 2014 Bring for Horse Racing Fantasy?

2014 is set to bring some much anticipated changes and updates for Horse Racing Fantasy developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC. Even in its current format, it is an extremely enjoyable horse race game to play; however, it is expected to be even more user friendly in 2014. Let’s mention just a few of the upcoming changes and updates now.

First, there will be an enhanced Unity view option for their virtual horse race game played on the internet. The expectation is that it will make the experience even more lifelike. At present, a user can view a horse race from nine different angles which can be used strategically; however, this is anticipated to make the user experience even more.

Next, there will be a Flash build which will allow continued and even new game play without needing to uninstall Unity. Although the look and feel may not be as striking as the graphics in Unity, it will provide enough to entice new players to keep playing and want to install the most recent basic and simple Unity plug-in. Actually, this is to counteract the tendency of new players to register for the horse race game; however, not even run one race because it means uninstalling their installed and sometimes preferred plug-in.

Third, a new user wizard is in the works. It will essentially guide a player entirely through the breeding of his/her first three free horses. The objective is to quickly educate players on the major game functions without causing them to be dazed, and of course, leaving players wanting more horse race game action. This will guide them through each and every step and slowly give access to new game features. While doing this, the goal is to ensure players do not have a lost or overwhelming sense. Although this is mainly about new players, previous players are not forgotten. With this new methodology, possible chances will be provided to previous players based on their actions, stable size, and kind of membership and frequency of play as well as other factors.

Fourth, there will be the addition of nearly ten new horse files. These will include the 2013 racing season so it will be exciting to see what is there.

Fifth, there are big changes expected for the desktop client. Essentially, it has been completely redone. As has been desired by numerous players, the jockey intelligence has been drastically enhanced. Perhaps, the most significant change will be to enabling a player to access the desktop client extension through various levels with the objective to reduce the likelihood of a player becoming overwhelmed. In summary, the desktop client is expected to have considerable efficiencies built into it in 2014.

Sixth, 2014 will see the introduction of what is considered a ‘light’ version for Smart phones and tablets. Of course, this is keeping with the changing user demographics including the type of device used to play their horse race game.

Last but not least, 2014 will have new special invitation-only tournaments. In these multi-race tournaments, considerable payouts are featured, and some of these are likely to run at the same times as actual top racing events like the Breeders’ Cup racing series and the Triple Crown racing series. Horses must meet all of the requirements to qualify to enter, and these tournaments will concentrate on the top horses in the game. It is anticipated that more details along with a full description of these invitation-only tournaments will be available shortly.

2014 looks to be an exciting and active year for Horse Racing Fantasy developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC at www.horseracegame.com. Play the game now and keep playing to get all the featured changes and updates in 2014 and beyond! Top 5 Racetracks in Horse Racing Fantasy

Racing with Horse Racing Fantasy developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC can be just as thrilling as attending a horse race in-person. Plus, this 3-D virtual game gives you a chance to “attend” some of the major racetracks around the world. The information available about these racetracks is enormous so we will only highlight ten of the famous horse tracks found in the United States that are available with Horse Racing Fantasy.

The first of these famous horse tracks is none other than Churchill Downs. This track is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and it is most well-known for being the home of the Kentucky Derby as well as the twin spires atop the grandstand. Over the years, Churchill Downs has hosted the Breeders’ Cup eight separate times. Actually, it became a national historic landmark in 1986.

Next on our list is Aqueduct or the “Big A”, and it first opened its doors on September 27th, 1894. It is home to many horse races, but some the grade 1 races held here include the Carter Handicap, the Cigar Mile Handicap and the Wood Memorial Stakes. This is the only horse track located in the New York City limits, and it is a fixture in South Ozone Park, Queens.

Third is the Fair Grounds Race Course. It is a horse race track and a casino located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Among the well-versed, it is also called the New Orleans Fair Grounds. It is home to many horse races, but the Louisiana Derby may be the most prestigious as it is a preparation race for the Kentucky Derby.

This brings us to Gulfstream Park which has been part of the Hallandale Beach locale since the first four-day meet held in 1939 and the twenty-day meet held in 1944. It is home to the Sunshine Millions Day, along with Santa Anita Park which is also an available race track, and the Florida Derby. Imagine racing your virtual horse here on the 1 1/8th mile dirt track or the one mile turf track.

Rounding out the five, Lone Star Park is both a horse race track and an entertainment destination in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Actually, it is specifically located in Grand Prairie. It may not boast of prestigious horse races like some of the others; however, it is home to quite a few horse races including grade 3 races the Lone Star Park Handicap and the Texas Mile. How will your virtual horse perform on the one mile dirt track or the seven furlong turf track?

Of course, these are only a few of the horse race tracks that are available on Horse Racing Fantasy developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC. Others include Pimlico, Saratoga, Keeneland, Belmont Park and Santa Anita Park. To explore all of the available race tracks, visit them at http://www.horseracegame.com/racetracks.php. Actually, the virtual world of horse racing allows you to experience racing on tracks that would not be possible no matter your geographic location. What are you waiting for?

The Maryland Juvenile Championship and Laurel Park

As the year of 2013 draws to a close, many may be thinking of ways to spend the remaining days of 2013. For horse racing fans, a horse race is certainly on the cards. If you are looking for something in Maryland and more specifically in Laurel, Maryland, the December 28th Maryland Juvenile Championship Stakes at Laurel Park is the horse race for you.

Along with the Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship, the Maryland Juvenile Championship Stakes offers two-year-old Maryland-bred horses (or fillies in the Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship) a chance to compete for their share of a USD 100,000 purse. The horses race over a distance of 7 furlongs on the main track at Laurel Park.

Speaking of Laurel Park, it was first inaugurated on October 2nd, 1911. It is home to many horse races. Along with the Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship and the Maryland Juvenile Championship Stakes, others include:
Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes – It was inaugurated only in 1990 and became a Grade 1 event in 1998. Three-year-old horses or older compete for their part of the USD 300,000 purse.

Barbara Fritchie Handicap – This race was inaugurated in 1952, and three-year-old and older fillies and mares battle for a share in the USD 300,000 purse.

General George Handicap – This Grade 2 race was inaugurated in 1973. The competition is run over a distance of 7 furlongs on a dirt track where three-year-old horses or older compete for a share of the USD 250,000 purse.

Safely Kept Stakes – This 7 furlongs race is restricted to three-year-old fillies battling for a piece of the USD 125,000 purse. It only dates back to 1986 when it was first inaugurated. As with some races, this race was on a break from 2008 until 2011, but it is now back as a fixture at Laurel Park.

Additionally, the Maryland Million horse races happen here too. They are only open to Maryland-bred horses, and they take place each year during the Fall. There are numerous races with this name so check them out for more information.

Visit Gulfstream Park During a Stakes Race

If your holiday travels take you near Hallandale, Florida, I would highly recommend including a visit to Gulfstream Park.  In case you are lucky enough to live near Hallandale, Florida but haven’t made it a point to go to Gulfstream Park, don’t wait any longer.  From December 21st through January 1st, there are some horses racing events known as stakes races that you could attend.

On December 21st, the Dania Beach Stakes will be held here.  It is a Grade 3 race run over 1 mile and open to 2-year-old horses battling for their share of a USD 100,000 purse.

This is followed on December 22nd by the Harlan’s Holiday Stakes.  It is open to 3-year-old horses or older who race the 1 1/16th miles all for a part of the USD 100,000 purse.

In case these dates are a bit too early for you, December 28th is the date for both the Mr. Prospector Stakes and the El Prado Stakes will take place at Gulfstream Park.  The Mr. Prospector Stakes was inaugurated back in 1946.  Today, it is run by 3-year-old horses or older over 6 furlongs on the dirt.  They try their best all for a share of the USD 100,000 purse.  The El Prado Stakes, on the other hand, is run by 3-year-old horses or older for 1 mile on the turf.  In the end, the goal is to grab a share of the USD 100,000 purse.

If Sunday works better into your plans, the Ocala Stakes will happen here on December 29th.  This is another race that is open to 3-year-old horses or older.  The race is contended for 1 mile on the dirt, and all for a slice of the pie so to speak.  The USD 100,000 pie or purse rather.  The 2012 Ocala Stakes ended with a dead heat finish between Delightful Mary and Holiday Mood on January 8th, 2012.  Let’s hope the 2013 Ocala Stakes has a clear cut winner.

New Year’s Day horse racing may be just what you are looking for, and if so, the Gulfstream Park Derby is a horse racing event at Gulfstream Park on January 1st.  3-year-old horses are eligible for this 1 mile race on the dirt.  The USD 100,000 purse will be distributed among the top finishers.

My intention is that this snapshot of the upcoming stakes races at Gulfstream Park will have you planning a visit there soon!  The horse racing events are not limited to stakes races so be sure to find out what races fit into your schedule.

Of course, if you cannot visit Gulfstream Park, do not worry.  It is just one of the numerous race tracks across the United States and throughout the world that are available to you on Horse Racing Fantasy developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC.
